06:15 AM: Our company’s bus and tour guide will pick you up at the designated meeting point to begin the journey of this exciting 3-day, 2-night Mekong Delta tour. The group departs for My Tho City (Tien Giang Province).

The group will stop at Trung Luong Restaurant in Chau Thanh District, Tien Giang Province for a high-class breakfast combo with the following options:

Breakfast: Special My Tho noodle soup, special Hu Tieu Mi, Hu Tieu Mi, special Banh Canh, bread with eggs…

Drinks: Iced coffee, milk coffee, lemonade, Lipton tea with lemon, sweet tea, soy milk, various soft drinks…

After breakfast, the bus will take you to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, a temple with a harmonious blend of Asian and European architecture. The pagoda features Renaissance-style decorations, Roman-style arches, French ironwork, Japanese tiles, ancient Chinese inscriptions, and Gothic-style Vietnamese script. From a distance, the pagoda resembles the Angkor Wat with five towers symbolizing the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

The pagoda spans approximately 2 hectares, including many areas such as the Amitabha Buddha Hall, the main sanctuary, the Guan Yin Bodhisattva statue, the garden of towers, and the book distribution room. The temple grounds also feature bonsai gardens, lotus ponds, tall ancient trees, and fruit orchards providing ample shade.

09:30 AM: Arrive at the tourist boat station in My Tho City and board a boat to cruise the Tien River. You’ll hear about the history of the formation of the four islands: Long, Lan, Quy, and Phung. The boat will take you to Thoi Son Islet, one of the largest islets on the Tien River. You’ll explore the fruit orchards, visit the honey bee farm, see the honeycomb, and learn how honey is harvested. Enjoy complimentary hot honey tea while learning about honey products, royal jelly, and bee pollen. Then, stop to enjoy complimentary seasonal fruits and listen to a performance of traditional Southern Vietnamese music, Don Ca Tai Tu.

You’ll then take a local rowing boat down the canal under the shade of coconut trees to the river mouth. Board a larger boat to cross to Ben Tre and visit a famous coconut candy factory. Here, you’ll witness the process of making coconut candy and other coconut products.

Our company will treat each guest to a refreshing, sweet coconut from Ben Tre, the land of coconuts. Then continue by car to Cai Be.

01:00 PM: Arrive in Cai Be, have lunch, enjoy a rustic Southern Vietnamese menu, and cycle around Tan Phong Islet to enjoy fruits in the garden, visit traditional crafts villages, and explore ancient houses.

04:00 PM: Depart for Vinh Long. After checking in at CocoLodge Riverside, rest and have dinner, then listen to local stories about traditional oil lamps made from the Mu U tree.

08:00 AM: After breakfast, you’ll take a bike ride through the local village roads, passing rice fields and traditional crafts villages such as mat weaving and leaf thatching. Enjoy a swim in the pool.

11:45 AM: Check-out.

03:00 PM: Arrive in Can Tho, visit Con Son to watch flying fish and catfish that can walk on land. Then, proceed to the hotel for check-in.

Dinner: Free time to explore Ninh Kieu Wharf, visit the night market, and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine at the market or local restaurants.

06:00 AM: The guide will take the group to visit Cai Rang Floating Market to explore the unique floating market culture of the Mekong Delta. You’ll immerse yourself in the morning activities of the “merchants of the river,” observing the bustling trade on boats – a distinctive feature of the water region with a variety of goods such as fruits, food, and more.

08:00 AM: Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, pack your luggage and check out.

Continue the journey to visit Som Rong Pagoda in Soc Trang, which represents the culture and beliefs of the Khmer people in Southern Vietnam. Built around 1785 with simple thatched roofs, the pagoda has evolved into an iconic structure with rich local architectural elements.

The pagoda’s main hall stands out with its golden decorations and intricate patterns. The stupa has four entrances symbolizing compassion, kindness, joy, and equanimity, each guarded by a pair of Naga serpents. The temple grounds also feature an impressive reclining Buddha statue, measuring 63 meters long, 22.5 meters high, and set about 28 meters above the ground, promising a serene experience. The group will also stop at Quang Tran Pía Cake Factory in Soc Trang to shop for souvenirs.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Soc Trang.

After finishing the tour in Soc Trang, return to Ho Chi Minh City, ending the tour at the designated drop-off point

Morning: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Visit the Southern Amateur Music and Composer Cao Van Lau Memorial – a cultural site that celebrates the life and work of Cao Van Lau, who contributed significantly to southern Vietnamese music and composed the famous “Da Co Hoai Lang” song.

Next, visit the House of the Bac Lieu Prince – a mansion that has captivated many visitors with its elegant beauty. Built in 1919 by a French engineer, this European-style villa is considered the most beautiful corner of Bac Lieu.

You’ll also visit the Wind Power Field – located about 20 km from the city center, where you can see giant wind turbines spinning like huge pinwheels from a distance.

Afternoon: Have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, depart for Soc Trang, the “Land of Golden Pagodas” in Vietnam. Visit Kh’leang Pagoda – one of the oldest Khmer pagodas in the Mekong Delta, nearly 500 years old. The pagoda showcases intricate Khmer architecture but also incorporates elements of Vietnamese and Chinese styles.

Evening: Depart from Soc Trang and head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, the bus will drop you off at the original meeting point, marking the end of your tour.
